From June 16 to 19, 2026, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung accompanied Prime Minister Le Minh Hung to the ASEAN - Russia Commemorative Summit marking the 35th anniversary of ASEAN - Russia relations in Kazan, the Russian Federation. During the visit, Minister Le Manh Hung participated in the Prime Minister’s meetings with leaders of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and Zarubezhneft JSC, helping advance cooperation in strategic energy sectors between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

In response to widespread heavy rainfall across northern Vietnam’s midland and mountainous regions, the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has issued Official Dispatch No. 4431/CĐ-PCTT dated June 16, 2026, directing agencies and units across the sector to proactively implement response measures to ensure the safety of industrial and energy infrastructure, as well as the lives and property of local residents.

According to the Department of Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the vast majority of gasoline-powered vehicles currently manufactured, assembled, imported and officially distributed in Vietnam have been confirmed to be compatible with E5 and E10 biofuels in accordance with the technical specifications set out in QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN.
