On the afternoon of March 20, 2026, in Hanoi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Le Manh Hung received and held talks with Lao Minister of Industry and Trade Malaithong Kommasith and his delegation. The meeting was also attended by representatives of relevant departments and agencies from both ministries.

From March 16 to 18, 2026, the 12th Meeting of the Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement (RJC 12) took place in Wellington, New Zealand, with the participation of representatives from 10 ASEAN Member States and 5 partner countries: China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. The meeting was co-chaired by Indonesia, the coordinating country of the RCEP Agreement in ASEAN, and New Zealand, the RCEP coordinating country of the five partner countries.

On the afternoon of March 16, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang held a working session with Suren Baghdararyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Vietnam. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of Foreign Market Development, the Agency of Foreign Trade, and the Trade Promotion Agency on the Vietnamese side.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long led a delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to attend the Indo-Pacific Business and Energy Security Forum held in Tokyo, Japan, from March 14 to 15, 2026. The forum was jointly organized by the US National Energy Dominance Council and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

On the morning of March 15, together with voters across the country, leaders of the Party and State cast their ballots in the elections for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
