On the morning of September 10, 2026, at the headquarters of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty in the Bercy district of Paris, France, the Viet Nam Competition Commission (VCC) of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and France's Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF) signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in the field of consumer protection.

On September 10, at a press conference announcing the President’s orders on 15 laws, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Son highlighted the core new points of the amended Petroleum Law.
