On September 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Energy and Petroleum Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), in coordination with the Viet Nam - EU Technical Assistance Project for Sustainable Energy Transition, held a consultation conference on the Energy Efficiency Promotion Fund.

Promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation commensurate with the two countries’ potential was a key focus highlighted by Viet Nam and the Czech Republic at the 8th Session of the Viet Nam - Czech Republic Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation, held in Prague, Czech Republic, on September 17, 2026.

On September 19, 2026, the 58th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 58) was held in Manila, the Philippines, under the chairmanship of Cristina A. Roque, Secretary of Trade and Industry of the Philippines, which holds the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026. The Vietnamese delegation to the meeting comprised representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the programme, AEM 58 and related meetings are being held from September 19 to 22, 2026, in Manila, the Philippines.

Viet Nam - Russia business networking conference in Moscow created opportunities for businesses from the two countries to connect, seek partners and promote business cooperation.

On September 18, the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam (TRAV) held the 2026 Trade Remedies Forum under the theme “Enhancing national production capacity - Creating new drivers of growth.”
