Official tax cuts on petrol and oil products announced

From 24:00 on March 26, 2026 to the end of April 15, 2026, the environmental protection tax on petrol (excluding ethanol), diesel, and aviation fuel will be reduced to VND 0 per litre. These products will not be subject to value-added tax (VAT) declaration or payment, while input VAT remains deductible. The special consumption tax on all types of petrol is also set at 0%.
