On May 21, 2026, in Chongqing, China, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 8th Western China International Investment and Trade Fair (WCIFIT) under the theme “New Western China - New Manufacturing - New Services.” The event is a key platform within China’s Western Development Strategy and is hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government.

On the afternoon of May 7, 2026, the Joint Meeting of ASEAN Foreign Ministers and Economic Ministers took place in Cebu.
