At the opening session of the 16th APEC Energy Ministerial Meeting in Beijing, China, on September 10, Tang The Hung, Deputy Director of the Electricity Authority of Viet Nam, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and a representative of the Vietnamese delegation to the meeting, said Viet Nam’s priority is to ensure “a secure, stable, affordable and sustainable energy supply” that supports rapid economic development while advancing the country’s long-term climate commitments.

From September 6 to 9, 2026, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang joined the Viet Nam high-level delegation accompanying National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on an official visit to the Republic of Korea, at the invitation of RoK National Assembly Speaker Cho Jeong Sik.

On September 3, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency (iDEA) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), in coordination with TikTok Shop and with the participation of the Department of Foreign Market Development, officially launched the “Beyond Vietnam - Vietnamese Products Take Flight” initiative. The initiative aims to support Vietnamese enterprises in building and strengthening their digital export capabilities and directly reaching international consumers through the discovery e-commerce model.
