The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) on December 27 organised a conference to review the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) over the last two years.

The Trade Committee of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) held its second meeting virtually on December 19.

The 6th Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) Commission meeting was held on October 8, 2022, under the chairmanship of Singapore's Minister of Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong with the participation of Ministers and Senior Officials of Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, and Viet Nam.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked on October 3 between the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham).

On September 8, 2022, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien had a meeting with Singaporean Minister of Industry and Trade Gan Kim Yong and the second Minister of Finance and Economy of Brunei Dato Amin Liew on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference under the Indo-Pacific Economic Partnership (IPEF), which was held on 8-9 September 2022 in Los Angeles, USA.

On September 8-9, 2022, the Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien attended the Ministerial Conference under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) hosted by USTR Ambassador Katherine Tai and US Secretary of Commerce Gina Marie Raimondo.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted the need to diversify export markets and expand export horizon to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South Latin America, South Asia and Africa beyond current traditional markets like the U.S. the European Union, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and ASEAN.

Industry and trade officials of 15 provinces and centrally-run cities in the central and Central Highlands region met in Phan Rang-Thap Chap city in Ninh Thuan province on August 19 to discuss measures to enhance cooperation to complete their tasks in the rest of the year.

A conference to promote the consumption of Hung Yen's longan and agricultural products for 2022 in both direct and online forms throughout 25 provinces and cities and including 11 countries and territories such as China, the US, Australia and Japan, took place on August 9.
