Position and Functions
- Inspectorate of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (hereinafter referred to The Ministry Inspectorate) is an organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which has the function advising and assisting the Minister of Industry and Trade in state management of inspection, complaint settlement and denunciation. reporting and preventing and combating corruption; conduct administrative inspection of agencies, organizations, and individuals under the management of the Ministry; conduct specialized inspection of agencies, organizations, and individuals under the scope of state management according to branches and domains of the Ministry; settle complaints,denunciations and anticorruption in accordance with law.
- The Ministry Inspectorate is under the direction of the Inspector General on work and instructions on operation.
- The Ministry Inspectorate has its own seal to operate and transact in accordance with the law.
Duties and powers
1. To inspect and examine the implementation of policies and laws, the tasks and powers of agencies, organizations and individuals under the direct management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
2. To inspect the observance of specialized laws, professional - technical regulations and rules on management of branches and domains by agencies, organizations and individuals under the state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
3. To perform the task of settling complaints and denunciations in accordance with the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, and the Law on Citizen Reception.
4. To perform the task of preventing and combating corruption in accordance with the law on anti-corruption.
5. To provide professional guidance on specialized inspection for agencies assigned to perform the specialized inspection function under the Ministry, Inspectors of Departments of Industry and Trade; to guide and inspect the organization and operation of organizations under the Ministry in the implementation of the law on inspection and citizen reception andsettlement of complaints, denunciations of organizations and citizens.
6. To organize training and refresher courses on specialized inspection for civil servants doing specialized inspection of the Industry and Trade.
7. To request relevant organizations appoint cadres and civil servants to participate in the inspection team.
8. To propose competent state agencies to suspend the implementation or cancel illegal regulations discovered through inspection activities.
9. To monitor, examine, urge the implementation of conclusions and handling decisions on inspection.
10. To summarize the report on inspection result, settlement of complaints and denunciations, anti-corruption, and citizen reception. Crime prevention and control; and law violations fall under the scope of state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade according to regulations.
11. To summarize, draw experience, build inspection profession within the scope of state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
12. To be standing onAnti-corruption Steering Committee.
13. To be standing on the National Steering Committee for Crime Prevention of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Steering Committee 138).
14. To advise, assist the Minister in the field assigned to manage the exercise of the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of the state owner towards state enterprises and state capital invested in other enterprises according to the provisions of laws.
15. To monitor law enforcement in inspection activities, settlement of complaints and denunciations, anti-corruption and citizen reception in the Industry and Trade sector.
16. To perform other tasks, works assigned by the Minister.
