Vietnam and Laos held the 13th border trade conference in Quang Ninh to review results, address obstacles, and set new directions for bilateral trade and investment.

On Nov 7, the 13th Vietnam-Laos Border Trade Conference in Quang Ninh reaffirmed strong bilateral cooperation and a shared vision for sustainable growth.

On 7 November , on the sidelines of the 13th Vietnam - Laos Border Trade Development Cooperation Conference in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Lao Minister of Industry and Trade Malaythong Kommasith, together with delegations from both ministries, visited and worked at the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory of Thanh Cong Group (TC Group) one of the largest and most advanced industrial projects in northern Vietnam.

On November 4, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien chaired a meeting in Hanoi to review the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s digital government implementation progress.

The draft Law on E-Commerce was submitted to the National Assembly on November 3 to promote fair competition and protect consumers in the digital economy.

Within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum, the 36th APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM 36) took place on October 30, 2025, in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. The meeting was co-chaired by Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun and Minister of Trade Yeo Han-Koo, with the participation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ministers of Economy and Trade, and Heads of Delegation from 21 APEC member economies.

On October 30, 2025, on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting held in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, Singapore and Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) on Rice Trade. The MOC was signed by Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations of Singapore and Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Nguyen Hong Dien. 

On the occasion of accompanying the Prime Minister to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 26, 2025, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Economic, Environmental, and Energy Affairs Jacob Helberg. Accompanying the Minister were representatives from the Department of Multilateral Trade Policy, the Department of Foreign Market Development, the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority, and the Industry and Trade Newspaper.

On the afternoon of October 23, 2025, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien held a working session with Bulgarian Minister of Economy and Industry Peter Dilov, on the sidelines of the official visit to Bulgaria by General Secretary To Lam.

On October 21, 2025, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien accompanied Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse in attending the official welcoming ceremony and talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, held meetings with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, met with several leading Finnish enterprises, and joined other official engagements.

On the morning of October 17 in Tuyen Quang, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien attended and delivered the opening remarks at the Northern Region Industry and Trade Conference 2025.
