On the afternoon of April 15, 2026, as part of the delegation accompanying Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on a state visit to China, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung held bilateral talks with China’s Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.

At noon on May 15, 2026, under the witness of the two Party General Secretaries and Presidents of Vietnam and China, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung and Minister of Commerce of China Wang Wentao jointly signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a working group to negotiate and promote the building of a Vietnam - China cross-border economic cooperation zone” and the “Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a working group on Vietnam - China production and supply chain cooperation.”

On the afternoon of April 3 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) convened a meeting of its Steering Committee on the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project No. 06. Le Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and acting Minister of Industry and Trade, head of the Steering Committee, chaired the meeting.

On the morning of March 31, at its headquarters, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) convened a conference to review performance in the first quarter of 2026 and outline key tasks for the remaining quarters of the year. Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung chaired the event.

On March 28, in Quang Ngai, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung - Standing Deputy Head of the Task Force on ensuring energy security amid the complex developments of the military conflict in the Middle East led a working delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade to meet with Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) on ensuring energy security in the new phase.

On the afternoon of March 20, 2026, in Hanoi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Le Manh Hung received and held talks with Lao Minister of Industry and Trade Malaithong Kommasith and his delegation. The meeting was also attended by representatives of relevant departments and agencies from both ministries.

On the afternoon of March 19, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held the 2025 Conference of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers, chaired by Acting Minister Le Manh Hung.

Le Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, has been elected as a deputy to the 16th National Assembly, representing the Hai Phong City delegation.

On the morning of March 15, amid the vibrant nationwide atmosphere as voters head to the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, Polling Station No. 3 under Constituency No. 1 in Phu Lien Ward, Hai Phong City, solemnly held the opening ceremony for Election Day.

On the morning of March 12, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to launch the Digital Platform for Overseas Market Development. Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son attended the event and delivered a keynote address.

On the afternoon of March 10, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the MoIT Party Committee and Acting Minister Le Manh Hung held a working session with the Vietnam Industry Agency to discuss strategic solutions for achieving double-digit growth in the industrial sector.
