On the morning of June 4, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung held a working session with the Multilateral Trade Policy Department and the Office of the Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for International Economic Integration.

At the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, General Secretary and State President To Lam and his spouse, together with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from 27 to 28 May 2026. Minister Le Manh Hung was part of the delegation and carried out a series of activities aimed at promoting cooperation in economy, trade, industry and energy between Vietnam and Thailand.

On the morning of May 26, Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, who also serves as Head of the State Steering Committee for nationally significant and priority energy-sector programmes, projects and works, chaired a meeting to review the implementation status and proposed solutions for the revised National Power Development Plan for 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, as well as the progress of key national and strategic energy projects.

On the morning of May 24 at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) headquarters, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai worked with relevant agencies, including the Electricity Authority, the National Power System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO), the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI), and other units on ensuring electricity supply in the context of severe heatwaves and continuously rising power ...

On the afternoon of May 21, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung received Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia’s national oil and gas company Petronas, during the Petronas delegation’s working visit to Vietnam.

On the morning of May 19, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung chaired a working session with the Oil, Gas and Coal Department (OGCD) and the Office of the State Steering Committee for national key programs, projects and major works in the energy sector (the Office of the Steering Committee) to review the implementation of tasks in the first four months of 2026 and discuss key orientations and tasks for the remaining months of the year. The meeting was also attended by leaders of several units under the Ministry.
