Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung visits Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea
On the morning of August 26, 2026, during his working visit to Seoul, the Republic of Korea, Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung visited and held a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea.
From August 25 - 27, 2026, a delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), led by Minister Le Manh Hung, is paying a working visit to Seoul, the Republic of Korea, to attend the 15th meeting of the Vietnam - Republic of Korea Joint Committee on Cooperation in Trade, Industry and Energy, and the ninth meeting of the Joint Committee for the Implementation of the Vietnam - Republic of Korea Free Trade Agreement.
The delegation includes leaders of functional units under the MoIT, as well as representatives of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group and Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

During the morning of August 26, 2026, the minister and the delegation visited the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea and held a working session with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Republic of Korea Vu Ho.
At the meeting, Minister Le Manh Hung highly appreciated the role played by Ambassador Vu Ho and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea in serving as a bridge to promote cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, as well as among ministries, sectors and businesses of the two countries. The efforts of the ambassador and the embassy have contributed to further deepening and substantiating the Vietnam-Republic of Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In 2025, bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea reached nearly USD 90 billion. In the first seven months of 2026, total import-export turnover amounted to USD 70 billion, up 41% compared to the same period of 2025. As of the end of June 2026, the Republic of Korea's total FDI investment in Vietnam reached USD 102.4 billion.

Minister Le Manh Hung expressed his hope that the ambassador and the embassy would continue coordinating with the Korean side to promote bilateral trade relations, shifting from expansion in scale to improvements in quality and balance; encourage the Republic of Korea to further open its market to Vietnamese agricultural products; support the introduction of Vietnamese goods into Korean distribution channels, retail chains and e-commerce platforms; encourage and assist Korean enterprises in forming joint ventures with Vietnamese partners to invest in Vietnam and manufacture components and equipment serving the supply chains of Korean companies in sectors such as electronics, automobiles, textiles and footwear; and attract major Korean investments to Vietnam, particularly large-scale projects capable of generating significant impacts on economic development.
During the reception for Minister Le Manh Hung, Ambassador Vu Ho highly valued the significance of the minister's working visit and the accompanying delegation, describing it as one of the important events in advancing Vietnam - Republic of Korea economic and trade relations and making a positive contribution to the strategic partnership between the two countries.
