Strengthening Vietnam - Morocco business connectivity through trade promotion activities

The Vietnam Trade Office in Morocco recently organized a business networking seminar in Casablanca, bringing together importers, buyers, and distribution system representatives to introduce Vietnam’s economic potential, promote the country’s key export products, and strengthen business connectivity between the two nations.

The seminar also served as an opportunity for the Trade Office to introduce the upcoming “Vietnam International Sourcing 2026” series to the Moroccan business community.

The event was attended by representatives from the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, along with more than 20 Moroccan enterprises operating in import, distribution, supermarket retail, and international trade.

The seminar took place against the backdrop of steadily growing Vietnam - Morocco trade relations, while Moroccan businesses are showing increasing demand for diversified, stable, and competitively priced sources of goods.

Beyond promoting Vietnam’s image as one of Asia’s most dynamic economies, the event also opened up new opportunities for practical and substantive cooperation between business communities in both countries.

During the seminar, the Vietnam Trade Office in Morocco presented an overview of Vietnam’s economic development, highlighting the country’s deepening international integration through participation in numerous new-generation free trade agreements and its increasingly important role in global supply chains.

A wide range of Vietnam’s leading export products were introduced to Moroccan partners, including coffee, cashew nuts, spices, seafood, processed foods, confectionery, and consumer goods. These product categories were highly regarded by Moroccan businesses for their competitive quality, diverse designs, and strong capacity to flexibly meet market demand.

Many participating companies expressed strong interest in establishing direct connections with Vietnamese manufacturers to explore long-term import opportunities, while also recognizing Vietnam as a market with significant potential for cooperation in trade and distribution.

In particular, Vietnamese agricultural products, processed foods, and consumer goods attracted considerable attention from Moroccan importers, given their alignment with current consumer trends.

As part of the seminar, the Vietnam Trade Office in Morocco introduced Vietnam International Sourcing 2026 to local enterprises.

The Trade Office also screened a promotional video showcasing the event series and provided Moroccan businesses with detailed information on its scale, product sectors, business matching activities, and opportunities to engage directly with Vietnam’s leading manufacturers.

The Trade Office further called on the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Moroccan business associations to support promotional efforts and encourage their member companies to attend VIS 2026 in Vietnam, with a view to strengthening bilateral trade exchanges and expanding business cooperation.

This seminar once again reaffirmed the role of the Vietnam Trade Office in Morocco as a vital bridge supporting Vietnamese enterprises in expanding exports to Morocco and the broader North African market. At the same time, the event contributed to enhancing mutual understanding between the business communities of both countries, laying a solid foundation for more substantive, effective, and sustainable Vietnam - Morocco trade cooperation in the years ahead.
