Ministry of Industry and Trade approves the scheme for organizing the “Vietnam International Sourcing 2026”

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has issued Decision No. 1049/QD-BCT dated May 5, 2026, approving the scheme for organizing the “Vietnam International Sourcing 2026” (VIS 2026), scheduled to take place from September 3 to 5, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The “International Supply Chain Connectivity Series 2026” (VIS 2026) has been identified as one of the country’s key trade promotion activities in 2026, serving as a strategic platform to foster trade and investment cooperation while supporting the sustainable restructuring of supply chains amid growing global economic uncertainties.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved the project to organize the “Vietnam International Sourcing 2026” (VIS 2026) series, scheduled to take place in Hanoi from September 3 to 5, 2026.

Under the approved scheme, the Agency for Foreign Market Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade will act as the lead coordinator, working closely with relevant agencies and affiliated units to comprehensively organize the event series. The initiative aims to strengthen connections between Vietnamese enterprises and international distributors, importers, and business partners, thereby creating broader opportunities for Vietnamese firms to integrate more deeply into global supply chains.

The event series is expected to feature a wide range of large-scale activities, including an Export Forum combined with the opening ceremony, thematic seminars on green solutions for manufacturing and sustainable exports, conferences focusing on the agricultural, food, and consumer goods sectors, as well as discussions on market diversification strategies through e-commerce and the application of digital technologies in international goods distribution.

An exhibition and B2B business matching program connecting Vietnamese enterprises with international sourcing delegations will also be organized, providing a direct platform for participants to explore cooperation opportunities, sign commercial agreements, and expand export markets.

The event is intended to further promote Vietnam’s image among global distribution networks and international importers, reinforcing the country’s position as a reliable source of diverse, high-quality products that meet international standards and the increasingly stringent requirements of major global retail systems.

One of the program’s key priorities is to strengthen linkages among stakeholders across Vietnam’s export supply chains, including raw material suppliers, manufacturing and exporting enterprises, investors, buyers, and supporting sectors such as logistics, banking, quality management, and policymaking agencies. Through this integrated ecosystem, the program seeks to lay the foundation for sustainable export growth.

The event also aims to help Vietnamese enterprises participate more deeply in global manufacturing, supply, and distribution networks, ultimately enabling direct exports into international distribution systems. At the same time, it encourages systematic investment in the comprehensive modernization of production chains, from raw materials and technologies to machinery and manufacturing processes, thereby enhancing product value and improving overall product quality.

For Vietnamese enterprises, the event presents an opportunity to directly access major international procurement channels, markets, and engage with global experts to adopt more professional and sustainable production practices, strengthening long-term competitiveness.

International importers, meanwhile, will have the opportunity to connect with reputable Vietnamese exporters, diversify their sourcing networks, and explore promising new products. The event will also provide space for international suppliers of machinery, equipment, and raw materials to participate in and support domestic manufacturing.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested all relevant agencies under the Ministry, Vietnam Trade Offices abroad, and related organizations to strengthen coordination in the preparation and implementation of the event. Any difficulties arising during the implementation process are to be promptly reported to the Ministry’s leadership for consideration and direction.
