GREENTECH HANOI 2026: Green technology drives sustainable production
Modern technologies showcased at GREENTECH HANOI 2026 offer cleaner production solutions, helping businesses save energy, cut costs and reduce emissions.

As the economy advances its green transition, the adoption of advanced technologies to optimize costs and reduce energy consumption has become an essential requirement for manufacturers.
As part of the National Action Programme on Sustainable Production and Consumption for 2021 - 2030, in 2026, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade to organize the 2026 International Green Technology Network - Sustainable Development Exhibition (GREENTECH HANOI 2026), held from September 16 - 18 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Hanoi.
The event aims to promote the development of networks connecting domestic and international businesses in scientific and technological research, technology transfer and application, while accelerating innovation, digital transformation and the green transition. These efforts are expected to help reduce environmental pollution, promote sustainable production and consumption, advance the development of a green economy, and contribute to Viet Nam's commitments to the international community on sustainable development.
The exhibition features a wide range of modern, energy-efficient technologies and solutions that have attracted considerable interest from businesses. Among them is a new-generation compressed air system incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, supplied by AEMG International Joint Stock Company. The solution is designed to optimize operations, improve energy efficiency and help businesses reduce production costs.
Speaking to Newsaper of Industry and Trade, Le Minh Khoi, Deputy Director of AEMG International Joint Stock Company, said compressed air systems currently account for a significant share of electricity consumption at factories. Switching from conventional systems, which consume an average of 720,000 kWh per year, to new-generation systems, which consume around 614,400 kWh, can save businesses up to 105,600 kWh of electricity for every 8,000 operating hours annually.
"This level of energy savings not only helps optimize costs per unit of output but also directly contributes to carbon reduction targets, with the equivalent emissions reduction of planting more than 70,000 trees. In addition, automatic safety alerts, automatic pressure adjustment and power regulation among equipment help businesses minimize infrastructure wear and tear and improve sustainable operational efficiency," he said.

Alongside electricity-saving solutions, upgrading thermal and energy infrastructure in factories is also an urgent priority. Nguyen Van Trung, a representative of HUSTECH Energy Joint Stock Company, said the company had brought to the exhibition a new-generation industrial boiler system featuring a high level of automation and intelligent operational data storage.
HUSTECH's key solution supports factories in switching from fossil fuel-fired boilers, such as coal-fired systems, to environmentally friendly biomass fuels, including wood pellets, sawdust and wood chips. The solution is designed to eliminate toxic gases and ensure emissions meet the standards set out in QCVN 19:2009/BTNMT and QCVN 05:2023/BTNMT.
From the perspective of production-line optimization, the introduction of collaborative robots (Cobots) into manufacturing processes is also creating a suitable foundation for flexible semi-automation models in Viet Nam.
According to Phung Tung Anh, Marketing and Communications Director of Weldcom Industrial Joint Stock Company, Cobots help workers automate repetitive tasks and perform operations in hazardous environments, such as painting and welding. Their precise, programmed operation helps minimize excess energy consumption and industrial waste generated per unit of output.
With investment costs becoming increasingly affordable, the solution is creating opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to improve productivity, maintain continuous three-shift operations and gradually standardize their supply chains.
"In hazardous working environments such as painting and welding, Cobots can take over these operations with precise programming. This not only helps optimize productivity but also reduces the amount of time workers are directly exposed to hazardous environments," Phung Tung Anh added.

Developing a circular economy and green value chains
Alongside energy-saving solutions at factories, the application of new material technologies and green logistics chains is a key factor in building a sustainable circular economy.
According to Ngoc Uyen, a representative of the Viet Nam Industrial Support Alliance (VISA), the organization showcased a comprehensive range of solutions at the exhibition under the message "From green solutions to social impact."
Among them, green materials technology developed by VISA member E-Coal Viet Nam Joint Stock Company has been granted an exclusive patent by the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam. The technology enables by-products, waste materials and household waste to be recycled into fertilizer and activated carbon.

The pure clean coal product line meets export standards for the European Union (EU) market and is used as a base material in the processing and manufacturing industries, as well as an input material for wastewater treatment systems and water filter cartridges.
Turning waste into reusable resources directly meets the stringent requirements of a circular economy, enabling businesses to secure their raw material supplies while meeting international environmental standards.
At the same time, the green transport solution developed by InterLOG International Logistics Joint Stock Company aims to optimize transportation operations and build green infrastructure across industrial supply chains.
The solution chain is also linked to practical social initiatives, notably a programme providing water purification systems and fresh water to military personnel and residents on the Truong Sa Islands.
The practical solutions and technological products showcased at GREENTECH HANOI 2026 demonstrate how businesses in Viet Nam and abroad are addressing the challenges of green growth.
These concrete solutions contribute to reducing carbon emissions, optimizing energy consumption per unit of output and eliminating waste at source.
They also provide essential technical and infrastructure foundations for the business community to achieve the core objectives of the National Action Programme on Sustainable Production and Consumption.
Proactively adopting green technologies not only helps businesses overcome stringent technical barriers in international markets but also contributes directly to Viet Nam's commitments to the energy transition, its Net Zero target and the strengthening of national competitiveness in the new era.
