Congratulatory Letter from the Minister of Industry and Trade on the Occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Sector
(May 14, 1951 - May 14, 2026)

To all generations of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Sector,

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Industry and Trade (May 14, 1951 - May 14, 2026), on behalf of the Party Committee and leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, I would like to extend my sincere regards and warmest congratulations to our veteran officials, as well as to all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers who have dedicated and continue to dedicate their efforts to the development of the Industry and Trade Sector.

Dear colleagues,

On this special occasion, we look back with pride on the 75-year journey of building and developing the Industry and Trade Sector, marked by its significant contributions to the nation’s remarkable achievements. During the difficult years of resistance and national defense, the sector played a vital role in ensuring logistics and essential supplies for the front lines. In the subsequent era of renewal and international integration, it has continued to affirm its position as a key driver of economic growth, industrial development, energy security, trade expansion, import-export activities, and the enhancement of Vietnam’s standing on the global stage.

The achievements we celebrate today are the result of solidarity, resilience, and the unwavering dedication of generations of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers across the sector throughout different periods of history. These accomplishments are not only a source of pride but also a solid foundation upon which the Industry and Trade sector can continue to uphold its proud tradition and move forward confidently into a new stage of national development.

In 2026, we commemorate the Traditional Day of the Industry and Trade Sector at a time when the entire country is striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and other strategic Party resolutions, with the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth and advancing toward the nation’s “centenary goals.” At the same time, the global economic landscape remains increasingly complex, presenting both opportunities and challenges for an economy as highly open as Vietnam’s.

In this context, the Industry and Trade Sector must deepen its awareness of its responsibility and pioneering mission in delivering rapid and sustainable growth across its three core pillars: Industry, Energy, and Trade. The entire sector must continue to renew its mindset, strengthen governance capacity, accelerate digital transformation, promote the development of industry and green energy, advance the circular economy, enhance the self-reliance of the national economy, and increase Vietnam’s integration into global value chains. In doing so, we will create breakthrough momentum for growth and contribute to realizing the aspiration of building a prosperous and happy nation.

To achieve these goals, I call upon all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers throughout the Industry and Trade sector nationwide to continue upholding a strong sense of responsibility, maintaining discipline and order in leadership, administration, and the performance of official duties, while fostering dynamism, innovation, and a spirit of courage, daring to think, daring to act, and striving to overcome challenges to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned for 2026 under the guiding principle of “Standardization - Elevation - Development.” This will lay a strong foundation for more robust progress in the years ahead.

I firmly believe that, drawing upon the proud legacy of previous generations and strengthened by our collective unity and wisdom, the Industry and Trade sector will continue to overcome all challenges, successfully accomplish its missions, and contribute meaningfully to the cause of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.

I extend my best wishes to all colleagues and your families for good health, happiness, and continued success.

May the Vietnam Industry and Trade Sector continue to grow stronger and achieve even greater development.

Sincerely,

Le Manh Hung

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Minister of Industry and Trade
