Under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the Newspaper of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry’s Party Committee, the Agency of Foreign Trade, and the Department of Personnel and Organization, has organized a series of three major events, including the launch of the 2026 political essay contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in the industry and trade sector; the announcement of the scheme for organizing the honoring ceremony and awards presentation for the “Vietnam Industry, Trade and Services Awards”; and the announcement of Vietnam Logistics Day and Vietnam Logistics Week.

At the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan affirmed that these activities carry profound political and practical significance, demonstrating the sector’s determination to renew its mindset and improve development quality across all fields.

The 2026 political essay contest is considered an important political task, contributing to strengthening ideological steadfastness, improving the quality of communications work, and combating wrongful and hostile views in the new situation.

The “Vietnam Industry, Trade and Services Awards” hold practical significance in discovering, honoring and spreading the values of outstanding enterprises, thereby promoting innovation, improving product quality, and building Vietnamese brands amid increasingly fierce global competition.

The announcement of Vietnam Logistics Day and Vietnam Logistics Week marks an important shift in both awareness and action toward a foundational service sector that plays a decisive role in enhancing national competitiveness. Developing logistics in a modern, green and smart direction must become a pillar in the development strategy of the industry and trade sector.

Regarding the implementation of these events, Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan requested agencies and units to focus on effectively carrying out five key tasks.

First, it is necessary to continue strengthening communications and education work to raise awareness and responsibility throughout the sector. Each cadre, Party member, civil servant and public employee should fully recognize that participating in the political essay contest is not merely about fulfilling administrative targets, but also reflects political courage and responsibility in protecting the Party’s ideological foundation.

Participating in the awards program is not simply about seeking recognition, but also about a process of self-evaluation and affirming competitiveness amid deeper international integration.

Nguyen Minh Hue, Acting Head of the Communications and Mass Mobilization Commission under the Ministry’s Party Committee, launches and introduces the 2026 political essay contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation in the industry and trade sector.

Activities marking Vietnam Logistics Day should not stop at communications campaigns, but must demonstrate a commitment to developing a foundational service sector capable of reaching regional and international standards.

Second, the assigned tasks must be implemented in a synchronized, serious and flexible manner on the basis of improving mechanisms and regulations, while ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the implementation process.

The political essay contest must be organized according to the principles of objectivity, scientific rigor and accuracy. The awards program must strictly comply with the criteria and conditions stated in the scheme, without chasing achievements. Logistics Week must ensure close coordination among agencies, units, associations and localities so that each activity has specific, measurable goals and delivers substantive results.

Delegates attend the event.

Third, the implementation of these three tasks must be closely linked with the sector’s key political missions, contributing to the successful realization of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the goal of achieving high and sustainable growth.

As the industry and trade sector is playing a pillar role in the economy, all activities must go beyond formalities and be associated with improving competitiveness, while directly contributing to socio-economic growth and development.

Fourth, communications and information dissemination work must be effectively promoted to create widespread influence across the sector and society, thereby building consensus and transforming awareness into action.

“The Newspaper of Industry and Trade should continue promoting its core role by developing a systematic, long-term and multi-platform content strategy, ensuring that each activity goes beyond the scope of a single event to become a stream of influential information contributing to spreading the values and image of the sector,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

Fifth, it is necessary to strengthen preliminary reviews, final reviews and substantive assessments after each implementation phase in order to promptly draw lessons, make adjustments and improve the process. Assessments must be frank and objective, clearly identifying achievements, shortcomings and bottlenecks that need to be addressed, while gradually building distinctive brands for each event with the aim of turning them into reputable annual activities with sustainable influence throughout the sector and society.
